Kerkouros

Kerkouros is an under development USV specifically for coastline surveillance. Twin electric motors are used for propulsion. This allows increased maneuverability with low noise level. It’s made from fiberglass and features an aluminum ballast keel for lower center of gravity and increased stability under rough weather conditions.

It has on board a waterproof 3-axis camera stabilizer for precise observation unobstructed from sea waves. It integrates state-of-the-art wireless communication technologies, autonomous navigation controlled by GCS on laptop with video and navigation data in real time.

The algorithms architecture is developed in collaboration with the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI).
