Filming: Philon UGV
Philon UGV it has been designed and manufactured according to the requirements of Virtual Reality Production Studios. Philon is a three wheeled rover, with independent gear motor for each one of the front driving wheels and an omni directional wheel at the rear. It utilizes differential steering for increased maneuverability and capability of 360 degrees rotation about its axis.
A custom design camera stabilizer is mounted at eye level, to absorb all the unwanted oscillations during filming. The stabilizer consists from eight identical cameras that have been placed to specific locations to capture 720 degrees footage. Furthermore a unique pneumatic vibration isolator is mounted between the rover and post to ensure filming stability over uneven surfaces.
